Guidelines for Using Disruption Screens and Push Notifications

Effective use of disruption screens and push notifications can significantly improve user engagement and experience with your app. Below are key guidelines to ensure these features are used optimally:

🚨 Disruption Screen Guidelines

Disruption screens are designed to capture user attention with important messages. Here’s how to use them effectively:

  • Character Limit: Aim for 500 characters for quick readability. Most newer iOS devices can support up to 1000 characters.
  • Link Restrictions: Disruption screens cannot contain clickable links. Ensure your message is self-contained and doesn’t rely on external links.
  • Content Focus: Keep your message concise and purposeful—clearly state the objective (e.g., feature update, promotion, or important alert).
  •

🔔 Push Notification Guidelines

Push notifications help you stay connected with users. Follow these best practices to ensure clarity and effectiveness:

  • Character Limit: Keep the body message to 130 characters for complete visibility, and the title limited to 39 characters.
  • Media: You can include GIFs, but they must not exceed 300 KB in file size.
  • Title Format: Avoid using emojis in the title for a clean, professional look.
  • Scheduling: Set the date and time carefully for notifications to go out at the best times.
